Beach Volleyball team prepares for African Beach Games (Sal 2019)

The stage is set for the actors to perform and on June 14 Gambia will join the rest of Africa to celebrate and compete in the inaugural African Beach Games to be hosted in the West African nation of Cape Verde.

And one sport that will be on the spotlight in the Cape Verdean city of Sal will be beach volleyball and Gambia national beach volleyball men and women teams will be among the 24 beach volleyball teams across Africa that will battle for the World Beach Games ticket in San Diego, California in USA.

Gambia beach volleyball team under the tutelage of coach Pa Baboucarr Barrow started preparations for the games that kicks off on June 14 through to June 23 and will hope to be among the top 2 two teams that will represent Africa at the World Beach Games later this year.

Team Gambia is expected to leave the country on June 13 and the trip is fully supported by the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC).
