Tears of joy as GAF wins volleyball championship in Ziguinchor

The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) Female Volleyball Team are the champions of the 4th volleyball championship hosted in Ziguinchor, Senegal.

The yearly championship, which took place at the stadium municipality of Pedro Gomez and Santhiaba Volleyball Courts, brought together The Gambia, Mali, Guinea Conakry and host Senegal.

Sainabou Tambedou is basking in the glory of her finest hour as Gamtel/Gamcel’s victorious volleyball Cup captain.

Gamtel/Gamcel female volleyball team Saturday registered a momentous win over record league winners Gambia Armed Forces to put a halt to their rival’s dominance in the sport. It was a one-sided knockout final in which the telecom team emerged winners by 3 sets to nothing.

Ousainou Jatta signs for Al-Khor Sports Club

Gambia international Ousainou Jatta have completed a move to first division Qatari volleyball side Al-Khor Sports Club for one-year with an option to extend, the Qatar Volleyball Federation disclosed.

Jatta signed for his first professional contract with the Qatari based club on October 9 and the Federation of International Volleyball, Gambia Volleyball Federation all agreed and endorsed the International Transfer Certificate on October 10.
