Yusupha Njie’s Reims deal off as Gambian reportedly fails medical

Yusupha Njie’s proposed move to promoted French Ligue 1 club Stade de Reims has been called off after the Gambia international failed his medical, according to L’Union.

The Scorpions international, who was pictured appearing to complete his move to Reims on Monday, apparently failed mandatory medical tests that has led to the French side pulling the plug on a potential move, according to the Reims-based tabloid.

Zico Ceesay secures Kazakhstan return

Gambia forward Momodou ‘Zico’ Ceesay has returned to Kazakhstan to sign a short-term deal with Premier League side FC Kyzyl-Zhar.

The 29-year-old Scorpions international secured the move after leaving Finnish Veikkausliiga club PS Kemi Kings last season.

Marreh returns to Watford pre-season

Gambia midfielder Sulayman Marreh has returned to English Premier League club Watford after the end of his loan deal at Spanish second-tier side UD Almería.

The Scorpions international was pictured in a video released by the club showing the Watford squad hard at work at their London Colney training base.
