Muzzy Carayol shortlisted for Goal of the Month

Gambia international Mustapha Carayol has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet Championship September Goal of the Month award for his superb strike against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Scorpion winger’s fiercely-hit strike caught out goalkeeper John Ruddy from distance and drew Forest level in the game at The City Ground on September 16.

Jack Jagne and Bura Kamara’s contract mutually terminated

Gambian duo Omar ‘Jack’ Jagne and Ebrima ‘Bura’ Karama have had their contracts terminated by Ljungskile SK and Al Saham respectively on mutual consent.

Jack Jagne, who joined Swedish side Ljungskile on a two-year contract earlier this year from Dalkurd FF, is leaving the Division 1 (third-tier) side after failing to make an impact during his time at the club.

Gambia to face Equatorial Guinea in friendly

The Gambia will be facing off with Equatorial Guinea in an international friendly match in Spain on November 14.

A media release from the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) says “the match will be played on Tuesday, 14th November, 2017 at the Marbella Football Centre Stadium, a southern resort city in Spain’s Costa del Sol, part of the Andalusia region,” with kickoff billed at 17:00GMT.
