My players did well, says Lamin gaffer despite loss to Bakau

Head Coach of Lamin Zonal Team, Yusupha Sanyang has hailed the performance of his boys, despite the narrow 1-0 loss to Bakau on Wednesday at the SK East Mini-stadium.

The two sides got to a good start, creating the goal scoring chances, but it was Bakau's Lamin Demba who break the deadlock in the 43rd minute when he put the Coastal Boys ahead just before the half time.

Newcomers and lowly-rated Kombo East Side’s striker has written his name in the history books of the Zonals after he scored the first goal of the 2017 Super Nawettan championship against favourites Serrekunda East on Tuesday.

Mbemba Kujabi put his side ahead just 16 minutes into first half, sending the traveling cheering supporters at the SK East Mini-Stadium into a wild jubilation. The early goal on Match Day 3 stunned the highly-rated East Bi, who were expecting an easy ride over the debutants.
