Gambian player racially abused in Italy

Jarra Jappineh’s versatile player Pa Keita was racially abused by a fellow player in an Italian Serie D match back in October.

Pa Keita, who was blocking a pass, caused the accused player to lose balance and fall down whom to his dismay uttered racial remarks.

Chairman Borri Darboe hints possible resignation IF....

The chairman of the National Sports Council of The Gambia could resign if the authorities decide to overturn his decision to suspend the GFF executive pending an investigation.

In a press conference on Friday, Chairman Borri Darboe remained defiant despite FIFA’s threat of a possible global sanction if the decision is not reversed by next Monday, 27th November 2017.

Sports Council say no to FIFA, stands by decision

The Gambia’s National Sports Council (NSC) says it will not heed to a FIFA threat to ban the country if its decision to suspend the executive of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) is not reversed by Monday.

The NSC made this statement through its chairman, Borri Darboe, at a press conference organized at the Independence Stadium on Friday afternoon.
