Steve scoops Chinese MVP award

Scorpions forward Bubacarr Trawally has scooped his Chinese Super League Most Valuable Player (MVP) after having the award presented to him at the weekend.

The former Hangzhou Greentown winger, who netted a hat-trick in Yanbian Funde’s 4-4 draw at Beijing Guoan last week, was presented with his MVP award shortly before Yanbian’s 1-0 win over bottom side Liaoning Kaixin on Saturday.

Fox Sports advisor wants Gambia’s FA reconsider quitting WAFU

Fox Sports Africa senior advisor and TV football commentator Barry Lambert has said that the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) should reconsider their decision to quit future WAFU competitions.

On 11th September, the GFF said it is considering its position within the West African Football Union (WAFU) amid poor refereeing that cost Gambia’s early exit in the ongoing WAFU Cup of nations by hosts Ghana.

GFF releases draft league fixtures

The Gambia Football Federation has dispatched the draft Fixtures for the 2017/18 League Season for both Divisions One and Two.

The GFF says the fixtures are drafts and its been sent to all League clubs and relevant stakeholders for their inputs as well before a final one would be put in place.

The Refugee Team that were invited to participate in the Ashgabat 2017 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games have expressed hope that more global competitions will open their doors for them in the future.

Athletes Paulo Amotun Lokoro, Wiyual Puok Deng, Gai Nyang Tap, Ukuk Uthoo Bul and Yiech Pur Biel were selected for Ashgabat 2017 following trials organized by the former Kenyan athlete Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation in Nairobi, Kenya.
