GFF reacts to NSC move to lift suspension

The Gambia Football Federation has swiftly reacted on the National Sports Council’s decision to lift the suspension on its Executive despite proceeding with its investigation.

After two weeks standoff, the NSC on Wednesday decided with immediate effect to lift the suspension on the Executive members of GFF without any regret on its action though said it will continue with their investigations and a report will be submitted to the president of the Republic of The Gambia, FIFA and made public.

After two weeks standoff, the National Sports Council of The Gambia has on Wednesday decided with immediate effect to lift the suspension on the Executive members of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) without any regret on its action.

Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday afternoon at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, Borri Darboe, Chairman of the National Sports Council, said despite lifting the suspension, they will continue with their investigations and a report will be submitted to the president of the Republic of The Gambia, FIFA and made public.

Knee injury ruins Buba’s Horsens farewell

Bubacarr Sanneh’s AC Horsens career has come to an abrupt end after the Gambia defender suffered a knee injury that will keep him out for up to six weeks.
