Old Trafford trip for Barrow and Reading

Scorpions international Modou Barrow is set for a return to Old Trafford after Championship side Reading FC were drawn with Manchester United in the FA Cup third round to be played on January 5.

Reading, currently in the Championship relegation zone, are set to face United for the second time in three seasons.

Gambian striker Faal pens Enfield deal

English Isthmian League Premier Division club Enfield Town have signed Gambian striker Muhammadu Faal from their seventh-tier league rivals Kingstonian FC, Gambia Sports can confirm.

The 21-year-old, who started his career at Italian side L’Aquila Calcio 1927 in 2015, joins the Towners on a deal until the end of the season with an option to extend.

Barrow guides Atalanta to victory

Gambia youngster Musa Barrow hopped off the bench to assist in Atalanta’s 3-1 win at Udinese in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.

The Gambia Armed Forces, who needed a goalless draw to sail through to the next round after drawing 1-1 in Ivory Coast with FC San Pédro, were edged through Ghanaian Nana Antwi Manu’s lone goal on Tuesday evening, advancing through a 2-1 aggregate victory.
