Yankuba Jarju to join Pau FC

Gambian striker Yankuba Jarju is set to complete a switch to French third-tier league side Pau Football Club, according to L’Équipe.

The 21-year-old will leave Senegalese side Génération Foot to move to the Championnat National club on July 1.

Pa Dibba completes China switch

Chinese League One side Shenzhen FC have signed Scorpions striker Pa Amat Dibba from Swedish club Hammarby IF for a reported fee of over €1 million, Gambia Sports can reveal.

Pa Dibba, who has scored seven goals in ten appearances in the ongoing Swedish Allsvenskan season for Hammarby IF, has been targeted by the Chinese second-tier side who were confident in luring the Scorpion to the world’s most populous country.

A dramatic 4-3 shootout helped Interior FC beat arch rivals Red Scorpions to win the 2018 Gambia Women’s FF Cup final after a drab goalless 90 minutes contest.

In a game short on clear-cut opportunities, substitute Penda Bah (Gambian Women’s National Team skipper) of Interior had a goal disallowed for offside just seven minutes from time.
