U17 Coach Bojang: "It could be difficult, But not impossible"

Many have concluded that it is all over for The Gambia in their bid to qualify to their second U17 Women's World Cup in 2018 after a 5-1 defeat at home to the Black Maidens of Ghana on Saturday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

But for Coach Abdoulie Bojang, it could be difficult, but not impossible to overturn the 5-1 result when his side travel to Cape Coast in two weeks time for the return leg.

Steve Trawally meets Chinese Ambassador to the Gambia

Gambia international Bubacarr ‘Steve’ Trawally paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Gambia H.E. Zhang Jiming on Wednesday morning at the embassy offices in Bijilo.

Steve’s visit coincided with the presentation of 200 footballs and two brand new vehicles to the Ministry of Youth and Sports as it prepares to host the 2017 National Youth Conference and Festival (NAYCONF) later next month.

Ali Sowe wins club player of the month

Scorpions striker Ali Sowe has won the Player of the Month gong after outstanding performances for his Albanian club KF Skënderbeu Korçë.

The Gambia international, who joined the Korçë-based club on loan from Italian Serie A side Chievo Verona on loan, had impressive performances during the month of November where he guided the club to victories thus extending their lead at the top of the Albanian league to six points, netting two goals in the process.
