Werder Bremen’s Ousman Manneh motivates Gambian youths: “Dreams have no boundaries”

The former Rush soccer academy graduate is flying the Bakau and Gambia flag higher in Bremen.

Bakau over the years have produced very good players and the Bremen starlet Ousman Manneh is one of them. Before leaving the Gambia, Mamading played for Lamin United and started his European carrier with Blumenthaler SV where he scored 15 goals in 11 matches. Ousman had trials with St Pauli, Hamburg SV, Schalke and Wolfsburg.

Papa Gassama to ref Mazembe V FUS clash

Africa’s best Bakary Papa Gassama will be the central referee when TP Mazembe hosts FUS de Rabat in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League on Sunday.

The 38-year-old Gambian referee, whose last outing in the competition was last Saturday when he officiated a goalless draw between USM Alger and Ferroviário Beira, will be the center of focus at the Stade du TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi.

HJK Helsinki has completed the double after Anthony Annan’s 59th goal against last year’s champions IFK Marieham led them to scooping the Finnish Veikkausliiga.

Bringing their tally to a record of 28 league titles, their brilliant campaign brought lots of joy when they defeated SJK in the Suomen Cup.
