CAF’s Appeal Board upheld Gambia decision

The Appeal Board of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has upheld the decision of the CAF Disciplinary Board to dismiss the Gambia Football Federation’s appeal on the eligibility of Togo international James Adewale Olufade.

The GFF confirmed placing an appeal to CAF’s adjuratory body against the Disciplinary Board’s dismissal of its case over the eligibility of Olufade who they claim is Nigerian.

Sowe scores as CSKA return to winning ways

Gambia striker Ali Sowe netted for CSKA Sofia in their 2-1 win over POFC Botev Vratsa in the Bulgarian top-flight league on Tuesday at the Balgarska Armia Stadium.

The Army-men went into the game with the aim of bouncing back from their shock 2-0 defeat against Cherno More Varna in the first league game of 2019.

Mansally ends European adventure, returns to the US

Versatile Scorpions international Abdoulie ‘Kenny’ Mansally has brought his European adventure to an end to return to the United States and pen a deal with USL Championship club Charlotte Independence.

The 30-year-old, who quit US football after ten years playing in Major League Soccer, has returned to the country after two years in Europe to pen a deal with the  North Carolina-based side.
