Gambia unveils squad for friendlies in Morocco

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) have unveiled a provisional list of thirty-five players that are scheduled to play two friendly matches in Morocco next month.

The Federation, as revealed by Gambia Sports last week, are hopeful of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruling in its favour over the ineligibility of Togo international James Adewale Olufade, a decision that may see the country feature in its first-ever Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Ceesay seals winner as Zürich push for Europa spot

Scorpions striker Assan Ceesay guided FC Zürich one step closer to securing a place in next season’s UEFA Europa League qualifiers after scoring the winning goal in their 3-0 victory over FC Thun on Wednesday.

The Gambia international scored his 5th goal of the season as the club from the largest city in Switzerland claimed their second consecutive win.

Werder Bremen snap up Gambian teenager

German Bundesliga club SV Werder Bremen have secured the signature of Gambian teenager Kebba Badjie.

The 19-year-old attacker was snapped on a free transfer after his contract with Regionalliga Nord (fourth-tier) side VfL Oldenburg elapsed.
