Ports Authority gets new gaffer

First Division League side the Gambia Ports Authority have announced the signing of former player Sheik Adama Joof as the club’s new head coach.

Their announcement follows after Real de Banjul enlisted the services of former Gambia Armed Forces coach, Ebou Jarra.

Joof replaces Hadji Tunkara at the helm of affairs at GPA. He last coached in Germany with non-league side SV Gartenstadt.

“Shi Joof” as fondly called, started his GPA career as a player in 1995 guiding them with back to back promotions from the third tier to the first division.

Joof is a UEFA B licensed holder who started coaching in the lower leagues in Germany in 2009.
