Gambian striker Alassana Jatta scored his sixth professional career goal as he opened the scoring for Paide Linnameeskond in their 6-0 thumping win over Viljandi JK Tulevik in match day 15 of the Estonian Meistriliiga.
The 20-year-old has been in prolific form for Paide, a club he joined only in January from local side Real de Banjul.
Jatta gave the visitors the first-half lead before five second-half goals ensured Paide secured their highest win of the season.
The attacker starred the entire match as did his compatriot and teammate, Muhammed Sanneh.
The 19-year-old defender was full of praise for his teammates after the match and credits the team’s supporters for their brilliant form.
“We have been able to work hard in our trainings and you can see the team is very well prepared for the battles. Our fans have been really good this year, supporting the team in good and bad times. Our stadium is a fortress right now and we hope it continues like that,” he said after the match.
Paide currently lie fourth on the league table with 30 points, ten points behind leaders FC Flora.
