FUS de Rabat sign Gambian youngster

Moroccan side FUS de Rabat have completed the signing of Gambian teenager Pa Modou Sohna from local club Real de Banjul.

The Rabat-based side announced it has reached an agreement with Real de Banjul for the transfer of its talented youngster.

The 18-year-old, who scored ten league goals this season, penned a four-year contract with the one-time Moroccan champions, after passing a medical.

Sohna, who last year had a trial in Denmark with Vejle Boldklub, says he is looking forward to life as a professional.

“I’m pleased to be joining FUS Rabat as it is an exciting challenge of playing professional football at a very good club and in a competitive league,” he said on Real de Banjul’s official website.

The diminutive forward becomes the third Real de Banjul player to sign for FUS, following in the footsteps of Yusupha Njie, now at Portuguese club Boavista and Muhammed Badamosi, who is still with the club.
