Barrow scores as Reading secure dramatic win

Gambia forward Modou Barrow scored a spectacular goal for Reading who completed a stunning late fightback for the second successive week to see off Wigan Athletic 3-2 at Madejski Stadium.

The Scorpions international repeated his goalscoring exploits from last weekend at Ipswich Town and scored with a stunning strike with just a minute of the 90 left to play to make it 2-2 before Ivory Coast international Yakou Méïté headed in a corner deep in stoppage time to send the home supporters into delirium.

Barrow’s goal, which was a 30-yard effort, was his third for the season as the Royals secured back-to-back league wins for the first time in 15 months.

Reading’s late surge ensured Reading tip the Latics on goal difference and finished the day three points clear of the relegation zone.
