Barrow wins it for Reading

Gambia international Modou Barrow scored the winning goal for Reading who secured a crucial 2-1 win at Ipswich Town to keep their survival hopes in the English Championship alive.

The Scorpions winger, who was introduced in the 58th minute, scored the all important goal for struggling Reading at the stroke of full-time, chipping the ball past the Ipswich keeper after being put on goal by teammate Yakou Méïté.

It was the Gambian’s second goal of the campaign after 25 appearances this season with his last goal coming in a 2-2 home draw with Stoke City in December.

The win moves Reading to 21st on the standings with 33 points though levelled on point with Rotherham United.
