Czech second-tier side FC Vysočina Jihlava have completed the signing of Gambian striker Lamin Jawo on a free transfer, Gambia Sports can reveal.
The 23-year-old impressed Vysočina’s coaching staff during his three-week trial with the Czech National Football League club now offering him with a one-and-a-half year contract.
Jawo, who has spent the entirety of his career in the lower echelons of Italian league football, leaves the country in search of regular first-team football abroad.
“He has a high athletic figure, excellent moves, a decent place in the sixties and a finish. And most importantly, he is a very intelligent and hard-working player who fits perfectly into the team,” Vysočina’s director Jan Staněk, said of his club’s new acquisition.
“Lamin has convinced us of his potential and perspective in his training and matches. We are convinced that it is worthwhile to work with him. He is a very intelligent player who, by his very nature, has fallen into our cabin.”
FC Vysočina Jihlava currently lie second on the Czech second-tier league table with two points behind leaders SK Dynamo České Budějovice on 35 after 16 outings.
