Ngum hands Bekaa first win after five months

Gambian striker Mamadi Ngum guided Lebanese Premier League side Bekaa Sport Club to their first win after five months with a brace at the weekend.

The 20-year-old, who joined Bekaa from local side Real de Banjul last month, scored twice for the relegation-threatened side at home to Tadamon Sour to hand them their first victory after fourteen matches.

The result lifts Bekaa up from the bottom of the table with two points behind  Al-Safa’ Beirut SC in safety with eight matches to spare.

The match was Ngum’s third for Bekaa, clocking 270 minutes in the process.
