Sanneh reveals delight at Paide move

Gambia U20 defender Muhammed Sanneh has revealed his delight to have officially signed for Estonian top-tier club Paide Linnameeskond.

Sanneh left Gambian giants Real de Banjul to sign a two-year deal with Paide, who have compatriot striker Alassana Jatta also in their ranks.

“I’m happy about my first professional contract and I am very grateful to Paide for this opportunity. I am pleased to be able to prove to the coaches during the test period that I deserve a chance in the team,” he told the club’s official website.

The younger brother of Anderlecht and Scorpions international Bubacarr Sanneh, added: “I have been very well received since the first day and although I had opportunities in Denmark (with a trial at FC Midtjylland), I felt right from the start that it this is the best place for me to start my journey in European football. I will try to work harder to achieve what my (elder) brother has achieve.”

Muhammed and Alassana will get their professional careers underway when Paide visit league champions JK Nõmme Kalju in the opener on March 8.
