Ngum pens Lebanon deal

Lebanese Premier League side Bekaa Sport Club have signed Gambian striker Mamadi Ngum from local side Real de Banjul, Gambia Sports can reveal.

The 20-year-old joined the Al-Nabi Shayth-based club earlier this month with a view to guiding the relegation-threatened side to Premier League safety.

The former Samger FC forward was handed a start when Bekaa visited leaders Al-Ahed on Friday but his inclusion could do little to avert a 1-0 loss at the Saïda International Stadium.

Bekaa currently occupy bottom place in the 12-team top-tier league table in Lebanon with six points after 12 outings.

It is unclear how long Ngum signed with Bekaa, founded 19 years ago, but Gambia Sports understands that it is on a short-term deal.
