Wallidan gaffer Foday Bah has expressed delight after guiding his side to their second consecutive win of the season to maintain a perfect start to The Gambia Football Federation’s First Division League.

The Blue Boys, who enjoyed a 1-0 derby win over Banjul United two-weeks ago, secured a 1-0 victory at Tallinding United when they visited the Serrekunda East mini stadium on Sunday.

Bah was in happy mood after seeing Modou Lamin Saho’s lone strike win the game for him to ensure their perfect start since getting promoted to the country’s top-tier league remains in tact.

“Our game approach was to come and get the maximum points. We managed to score and defended very well because we didn’t give them any room to even have a shot on target. We managed to have two clean sheets and two goals in our two games we played so far,” Bah said after the match.

Bah added that his aim is to scoop the league as it’s a target for the team to always compete for trophies.

The Tallingding United gaffer meanwhile wasn't disappointed for his side’s loss and admitted that the record-Gambian champions were the better team on the day.

Elsewhere in the league, The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) put their Confederations Cup exit behind them by securing a goalless draw with Hawks while Gamtel are still yet to get over their Champions League exit after being scuffed aside 2-0 by the Gambia Ports Authority (GPA).

Fortune endured a 1-0 defeat against Marimoo while there were defeats for Real de Banjul and PSV Wellingara who both lost to Brikama United and BK Milan respectively with Banjul United being held 0-0 by Samger.
