Monaco join Marseille in chase for Yusupha Njie

AS Monaco have joined French rivals Marseille in the race to sign Gambia forward Yusupha Njie, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

Njie, on loan to Boavista, has done well for the Portuguese club since joining them last season, appearing 17 times in the Primeira Liga, scoring a quadruple of goals.

Olympique de Marseille were said to be interested in the Scorpions international but O Jogo now claims they have been joined in the race by Monaco.

Njie has two years left on his contract with Moroccan club FUS de Rabat and is currently valued at £540,000 by Transfermarkt.
