Scorpions plummet on FIFA rankings

The Gambia has dropped a massive eleven places in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola world rankings released on Thursday.

The Scorpions were ranked 164 in March but have now plummeted on the rankings to lie at 175 in the world.

The country also fell down one place on the African ranking to lie at 49, better than just São Tomé e Príncipe, Seychelles, Djibouti, Eritrea and Somalia respectively.

According to FIFA, just seven international ‘A’ matches, all friendlies, took place in the past month and as a result there are few movers in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 7 June 2018.
