Scorpions midfielder Sulayman Marreh scored his first goal on his return to former club Real Valladolid when he visited with Almería.
Marreh, who made the switch to Almería on a six-month loan deal after failing to impress at Real Valladolid, where he was earlier sent on loan, opened the scoring at the Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla in Valladolid.
But his opening goal served only as a consolation as the hosts surged to score two second-half goals to condemn Almería to their second consecutive defeat.
The 22-year-old was considered surplus to requirements at Valladolid, making only four Copa del Rey (King’s Cup) appearances but parent club, Watford, cancelled the loan to send him out to former La Liga side Almería where he reunited with his former coach at Granada, Lucas Alcaraz.
He excelled under Alcaraz during his spell at Granada where he was likened to Manchester United and France midfielder Paul Pogba, scoring four goals during his three-year stint with the club.
