Super sub Muzzy assists in Forest win

Gambia winger Mustapha Carayol came off the bench to change the game in Nottingham Forest’s favour as he provided in their 1-0 win over Norwich City on Tuesday evening.

The Scorpions international, who has endured a frustrating season finding his opportunities limited at the City Ground, was introduced with just over 20 minutes to go.

The 29-year-old winger sparked the home side into life in a game that saw chances few and far and it was from his 77th-minute cross that Forest got the winner to seal a fourth straight Championship home league win.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Muzzy’s compatriot, Modou Barrow also provided an assist and created a penalty as Reading battled back with two goals inside the last 15 minutes to earn a 2-2 draw at Bolton Wanderers.

First-half goals put the home side 2-0 up but Reading eventually turned overwhelming possession into goals as Barrow assisted Liam Moore to pull one back before creating a penalty that was converted by Leandro Bacuna with seven minutes left.
