Seedy Kinteh banned by FIFA for corruption

Former Gambia Football Association (FA) President Seedy Kinteh has been banned four-years by the ethics committee of FIFA for taking cash gifts from former FIFA presidential candidate Mohamed Bin Hammam of Qatar.

The football world governing body says its ethics committee found Kinteh guilty on charges of bribery and corruption and accepting gifts before being $200,000 with the ban coming into effect immediately.

Ibou Touray attracting interest

English League One club Shrewsbury Town are interested in signing Scorpions left-back Ibou Touray from Salford City, Gambia Sports understands.

The third-tier league strugglers have made a left-back their main priority in next month’s transfer window with The Gambia international among their target, according to HITC Sport.
