Badou Jack: I’m putting everyone at Light Heavyweight on notice!

After an emphatic debut in the light heavyweight division, two-division world champion and Gambian boxer Badou Jack is looking to use 2018 to prove that he is the top 175-pound fighter in the world and one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.

“I am 100 percent confident in my ability to take on and beat anyone in the division,” said Jack. “I’m the newcomer at light heavyweight, but I already proved I belong. I'm putting all the light heavyweights on notice.”

Former WBC Super Middleweight champion, Gambian Badou Jack, is set to return to the ring against WBA World light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly in their title fight on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor card at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 26.

Former Gambian Olympian Jack, dubbed “The Ripper” is moving up from the World Boxing Council (WBC) to the light heavyweight class of the World Boxing Association (WBA).

Badou Jack Cleverly beats Nathan

Former Gambian Olympian Badou Jack is the new WBA World light-heavyweight champion after taking full control to beat Englishman Nathan Cleverly in Las Vegas.

The 33-year-old battered Nathan Cleverly in their light heavyweight title fight until referee Tony Weeks mercifully stepped in to stop it at 2:47 of the fifth round at T-Mobile Arena.
