“I am in the Gambia to create awareness about open water swimming” – Pablo Fernandez

Pablo Fernandez, an experienced Spanish open water swimmer, said he is in the Gambia to create awareness about open water swimming.

Pablo, will on Saturday 30th December 2017 participate in a first 20-25Km Gambia Swimming Association organized open water swimming race from the Plage d’Or in Senegal to Banjul.

“Because I like challenges and also to promote open water swimming around the world, I decided to come to the Gambia”, Pablo said.

The renowned Open water swimmer, who is the first swimmer in the world to swim from Europe to Africa in 4 hours, added: “I expect at the end of my participation that Gambian swimmers will be inspired to be top open water swimmers.”
